Who we are

This website, krishnavielitehostel.com, is run by Krishnavi Elite, a boys’ hostel and a unit of SK Infra, at 140, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Special, behind Shoppers Stop, Electronic Complex, Indraprastha Industrial Area, Kota, Rajasthan 324005 (“we”, “us”).

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, call us, message us on WhatsApp or visit the hostel, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website form, we collect what you enter: the student’s name, the parent’s mobile number, an email address (optional), the exam the student is preparing for, the joining month, the preferred call time and any message you write.

When you call or WhatsApp us, we receive your phone number and the messages you send.

When you visit the hostel, visitor details may be recorded in our entry register for the safety of our residents. CCTV operates in common areas and at the entrance.

When you browse this website, we use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site. It collects information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived at the site, using cookies. Embedded Google Maps and YouTube content may also set cookies when you interact with it.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and call you back at your preferred time
• To share fees, availability and admission details
• To arrange and manage visits to the hostel
• To keep residents and the building safe
• To understand and improve how our website works
• To meet our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send you promotional messages unrelated to your enquiry without your consent.

Consent

By ticking the consent box on our enquiry form, you agree to be contacted by Krishnavi Elite about your enquiry. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing or calling us (see “Contact us” below). We will then stop contacting you, unless we need to keep some information to meet a legal obligation.

Students under 18

Most of our residents are students preparing for competitive exams, and many are under 18. Enquiries should be made by a parent or guardian. If we learn that we have received a child’s personal data without a parent’s or guardian’s consent, we will delete it.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is needed to run our service:

• Our website hosting provider and the form tool on our website (WPForms), which store and send your enquiry to our email inbox
• Google, for email (Gmail) and website analytics
• WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to message us there
• Government or law enforcement authorities, when the law requires it

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless you take admission, in which case resident records are kept for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal requirements. Website analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics’ retention settings.

How we protect it

Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. Access to enquiries and resident information is limited to authorised staff. No method of storing or sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
• Ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data
• Ask us to erase your personal data when it is no longer needed
• Withdraw your consent
• Raise a grievance with us, and, if you are not satisfied with our response, with the Data Protection Board of India
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond as soon as possible and within the time the law requires.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them for website analytics and they may be set by embedded maps and videos. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work without them.
